Key duties and responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

  • Piloting and introducing new products & technologies to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Leading and supporting programs and projects which enhance existing organisational processes and products.
  • Establishment and management of the project baseline, then management of the project through to closure, including the functions of scope, budget, cost management, scheduling, resourcing, communications, risk and issue management.
  • Produce and manage effective Project Management artefacts including Project plans, Status Reports, Risk & Issue Register, Benefits and Lessons Learnt registers
  • Lead the project using assigned resources to ensure project outcomes are met, as per the published schedule and budget.
  • Manage complex implementation and testing activities.
  • Prepare reports and highlight project issues for executive management in mind, helping them to make strategic decisions.
  • Maintain relationships and act as a liaison between relevant stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic approach on a broad range of tasks and projects with a customer-centric focus & approach.

Essential criteria

  1. Demonstrated high performance in managing complex ICT programs/projects within government or large enterprise environments. A minimum of 10 years of experience will be highly regarded.
  2. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail including proven experience in developing material for and supporting senior executive boards/committees.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management and negotiation including the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation, develop professional networks, and build strong working relationships.
  4. Extensive experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing program/project artefacts, including reports, procurement documents, and communication material.
  5. A proven track record of proactiveness, professionalism, pragmatism, resilience, and personal integrity in all professional endeavours.
