Position: Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Star Delta Pty Ltd is a leading transformer manufacturer in NSW Australia which has been in the transformer business for over 50 years.

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our awesome team. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintains control of the manufacturing process so that customers receive their order on or before the promised date
2. Checks and approves all designs and paperwork needed to control the manufacturing
3. Maintains adequate stock of raw material to manufacture the standard range of dry type transformers (10VA to 200kVA). This also includes implementing and maintaining a system of recording and ordering raw materials such that they are not out of stock
4. Implements and maintains a “Red Flag” feedback system which records “as built” information as well as any corrections to the documentation that may be required
5. Implements and maintains a housekeeping system which includes separating any recyclable materials and arranging a system of collection for waste and re-cycle
6. Completes Risk Improvement Opportunity (RIO) for any production processes that have failed to achieve the desired outcome and recommends measures to reduce the chance of a similar issue.
7. Responsible for the WH&S of the workplace and recommends any equipment or procedural systems that may be required to provide a safe system of work.
8. Responsible for operation of the Quality Assurance systems that involve manufacturing processes.
9. Responsible for overseeing the testing the transformers according to their standards and finishing off the transformers.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering or Business-related fields
2. At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing business and management role
3. Able to engage with people at all levels of business
4. Report writing for short reports
5. Able to use Microsoft 365 products with basic competency
6. General computing and technology skills
7. Capable of focusing on attention to detail

Salary Range: $73,450 to $80,000
